Guidelines for decommission servers via CDP

Prerequisites:

  1. Make sure CDP decommission permission, if no, please contact CDP team(Jack Chen or Nick Zhong) to get sufficient permission
  2. If the server is in CMC, then set the server as offline status Offline Server
  3. If the server isn't in CMC, then using Associate Servers to Pool to find server in CDP

    a. Navigate to the My Build page in CDP, search for component in the left panel, then select one pool you wish to assocate server in the right panel, click Associate Servers to Pool under Compute Associate Server

    b. Select the servers, click Execute Associate Pool 4. If the server can't be found via Associate Servers to Pool, send the server to Jie Bao (jieb) who can help associate the server to pool in CMDB, then do above step#3

Decommission Server

  1. Navigate to the My Decommission page in CDP, search for component in the left panel, and find the pool you wish to decommission from. My Decommission

  2. Select the servers which wish to decommission, click Server Decommission. Server Decommission
