What is AIOps ΒΆ

AIOps, an acronym for Artificial Intelligence for Operations, involves using artificial intelligence to automate and streamline service and platform operations. Our observability strategy integrates several key platforms to achieve this.

Data is gathered from various sources, including Real User Monitoring (Apdex), Synthetic Monitoring (MCT), LMA (logs and metrics), ThousandEyes, SolarWinds, and the Kubed platform. These sources provide comprehensive insights into user experience, service availability, and infrastructure health. These signals, along with alerts from other sources, are consolidated in our Alert & Event Hub (EMS2). This centralized hub feeds our Enterprise Agent Platform (EAP), which runs reviewed AI agents for intelligent incident response, root cause analysis, and proactive issue detection. By combining these tools, our AIOps solution aims to reduce manual intervention, decrease downtime, and enhance the overall reliability of our services.

Our team's scope includes:

  • Enterprise Agent Platform (EAP) for governed AI-agent automation
  • Alert & Event Hub utilizing the KeepHQ platform (EMS2)
  • Real User Monitoring (Apdex)
  • Synthetic Monitoring utilizing the Monitoring Console Tool (MCT)
  • Development and management of the Webex Global Service Status platform (GSS)
  • Development and management of the Internal Service Status (ISS)
