Environment Information

These four environments serve different purposes in the UAS:

Local environment: This is typically used by engineers or developers for creating and testing new features or services.
Dev environment: This is used by engineers for integration purposes. It allows them to test how different features or services interact with each other.
Stage environment: This is used for customer integration. Here, the final product is tested to ensure it meets the requirements of the customers and can integrate well with their existing systems.
Production environment: This is the final environment where the product is deployed for customer use.

As for setting up alerts, you're also correct. In the production environment, you can set up alerts for your service that's running on both BTS (Beta environment) and PROD (Production environment).

LOCAL ¶

A dedicated development server provided by our Jenkins job offers an environment that's equipped with all necessary middleware, such as Kafka for real-time data streaming, REDIS for caching and message broker, MySQL for relational database management, and Pinot for real-time analytics.

Meanwhile, when it comes to running other microservices, they should be executed through an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) like IntelliJ IDEA on your desktop. IntelliJ is a popular IDE for various programming languages, especially Java. It offers several features like code completion, syntax highlighting, and version control system, making it an ideal platform for developing and managing your microservices.
