Cisco IM and Presence provides presence and related messaging services where enabled.
Monitoring
Method
SNMP Exporter plus imp-exporter API, CLI, and PerfMon collection through imp-prometheus.
Metrics Collected
- IM&P service and node state
- Presence and session-related application counters
- CPU, memory, storage, and interface health
- Exporter and scrape health

- IM&P exporter and SNMP dashboards are also recorded in the audit.
Logging
Log Source
IM&P publisher and subscriber nodes send VOS syslog and supported SNMP traps.
Splunk Index
vos_syslog for syslog and snmp_traps for traps.
