Grafana

Overview

Grafana is the primary visualization and metric-alerting interface for WxCDI. It queries Mimir and organizes dashboards by service and device family.

Dashboards

The device pages list the dashboards recorded in the audit repository. UC applications have detail, exporter, and SNMP views. Several infrastructure categories still have missing or unverified dashboard links; those pages call out the gap explicitly.

A shared dashboard should:

  • use current inventory labels instead of hard-coded device lists;
  • expose region, customer/tenant, cluster, and device filters where applicable;
  • show metric freshness and meaningful no-data behavior;
  • link high-level health to diagnostic detail;
  • remain performant at expected production cardinality;
  • be stored and reviewed through the managed dashboard repository.

Data Sources

Mimir is the primary WxCDI metrics data source. Confirm the selected data source and tenant when a panel is empty or inconsistent with Prometheus.

Administration

SSO, user roles, data sources, plugins, folders, and global alert routing are platform-owned. Dashboard and alert changes should use the approved GitOps workflow rather than untracked UI-only edits.
